I'll Be Right Black on Sunday, January 11, 2009 12:01:02 AM
So we have an African-American that will soon live in the White House. What makes one African-American? There is an old saying in the black community that if a person has one drop of black blood then they’re black. This is what is known as “the one drop rule.” If you haven’t noticed, the reverse doesn’t work. One drop of Caucasian blood and you are still African-American. Is this racism? Of course, it is. So has racism ended because of the election of Barack Obama? Certainly not.
Barack Obama was raised for the most part in a Caucasian household. If anything he married outside of his race. This doesn’t bother me but we should be honest. His father was not a noteworthy figure in his life. When he wasn’t with his Caucasian mother he lived with his Caucasian grand parents. But he’s an African-American, right? Maybe we should just call him an American but this is not the way of the Democratic Party.
Racism and division is the Democratic way. Just look at their history. Democratic Party platforms supported slavery from 1840 through 1860. Seven Democratic Presidents owned slaves from 1800 to 1861. This is the party that supported segregation 20 times in their platform until 1948. They are also the party that opposed the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments to the Constitution.
If you look closely at what has occurred you’ll notice the same old Democratic faces behind the black mask. These are the same old racist, practicing the same old racism. They just come together and use racism for their unique proposes. The white racists have their agenda and the black racists have theirs. They willingly segregate themselves. Yes, it’s true, there are black racists and they don’t all belong to the Nation of Islam and the New Black Panther Party. The first class ones belong to the Democratic Party.
These racist factions simply use each other to get the power and money each wants. This election has done one thing; it has solidified the black vote for the Democrats for the next hundred years (unless a truly unifying African-American leader comes along and is able to move a significant portion of the black electorate to the right where they truly belong). Any Democrat who runs in a predominately black area will win because they are in the party of Obama and he’s black. Is that racist? Assuredly so. But this is how and why he was elected. He’s black; give the black guy a chance. Right.
If you think I’m wrong about these alliances watch the first one hundred days of the Obama presidency and see if you can’t recognize the special treatment of each of the appeased racial groups. Has Obama unified the Democratic Party? In some ways he has and in others he has just patched a gaping whole in the wall with tissue paper. Will we see fighting among the Democrats during this administrations tenure? You bet. The good old boys are still running things on the Democratic plantation and they will make sure Obama knows it.
The Black Democrats loved calling Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice “house negroes,” what are they going to say about Obama when he’s put in check. Ah, the Democrats, so much hypocrisy and deception.
